It is our experience that betting each match where we have predicted one single outcome, gives a high strike rate and an overall profit for the vast majority of our pool entries.

Our preference is to place these bets on a betting exchange such as Betfair, which almost always offers higher odds than the bookmaker.

VALUE BETTING STRATEGY

We can increase our profits by demanding higher odds for each bet we place.

This can easily be done using a betting exchange – here's how to use this strategy on Betfair:

1. Go to the match you want to bet on, then look in the "match outcome" section and select the back odds (highlighted in blue) for your bet.

2. Load our Value Betting Calculator >>>

3. Enter the decimal odds from Betfair and choose how much you would like to increase the odds by, from 5% up to 50%.

4. The calculator will display the odds you need to enter into your betslip on Betfair.

5. Enter these odds and your desired stake, then place the bet.

6. Once you have your bet receipt, select the "keep" at in-play option and click update.

7. Your bet will be matched as soon as the available odds reach the odds you have set. This typically happens in-play.

NOTES:

There is a chance your bet will not be matched. This can happen if the team you bet on scores an early goal, which causes the odds to drop. However, your bet may be matched later if the other team scores an equaliser.

The more you increase your desired odds, the higher the chance your bet will not be matched. With an odds increase of 5% – 20%, the chance of this happening is fairly low. With an odds increase of 25% or more, the chance of not being matched is much higher. 

Our communal bet includes matches where we have predicted 2 different outcomes, in one of the following combinations:

Home + Draw
Home + Away
Draw + Away

Not only does this give our communal bet a significantly higher chance of winning, but it also presents a personal betting opportunity in the form of Dutching.

You can use the Dutching strategy to divide your total stake over 2 match outcomes, so that the same amount is won if either wins.

HOW TO PLACE DUTCH BETS

1. Load Our Football Dutching Calculator >>>

2. Enter the total amount you want to stake.

3. Enter the Home, Draw, and Away odds for the match you want to bet on. We suggest getting the odds from the bookmaker or betting exchange you will place the bet with.

4. Untick the outcome you don't want to include in your bet.

The calculator will display how much to stake on the 2 remaining match outcomes, in order to make an equal profit if either wins. The bottom of the calculator displays the potential profit, ROI, and total return of your bet.

5. Return to your bookmaker or betting exchange, select your 2 match outcomes, enter the stakes provided and place your bets.

NOTES: 

This is an ultra-high strike rate strategy, meaning the ROI for each winning bet is relatively low. However, losing runs are few and far between which means we can safely stake a larger portion of our bankroll per bet.

A slightly more advanced strategy is to combine Dutching with our Value betting strategy (see the win betting section). This approach can help you to extract more value and increase your profits from each bet.

Our predictions for each week's pool entry represent one giant accumulator bet.

With this venture being relatively new, we don't know how many of these predictions will win on a typical week. However, we will be able to gauge this over time.

For now, suffice it to say we are confident the majority of the predictions included in each weeks communal bet will win.

This presents an opportunity for you to build your own profitable ACCA bets.

Whether it be combining just 2 matches into a Double, 3 matches into a Treble, or 10 matches into a massive 10-Fold, there are many different variations to choose from and you can do this according to your personal preference.

The more matches you include in your ACCA bets, the lower the strike rate but the larger the returns should your bet win.

It's the most exciting way to use our predictions in your personal betting, and aside from our communal bet it's a great way to potentially make outsized profits from small stakes.

NOTES:

ACCA bets can be placed with any major bookmaker; most betting exchanges don't currently offer this type of bet.

We will aim to develop this strategy further in future, once we have a built up more live data from our pool competition entries and have more useful statistics to utilise.
